JV Girls Volleyball Team Recognized for Support and Dedication

Coach Marylin Underhill had a difficult time nominating just one of the JV Varsity Girls Volleyball players as Athlete of the Week. Below is what she shared with The Talon:

I would like to nominate my JV Varsity Girls Volleyball team as Athlete of the Week for the following reasons.

This group of young women represent the truest form of the word "athlete." They are strong and confident when winning; they are supportive and focused when losing. This group never gives up on a ball, nor on each other. They have been a joy to work with this year. They are truly athletes.

Middle School Male Athlete of the Week

The Middle school Male Athlete of the Week is Macaully Gillespie. Macaully was chosen Athlete of the Week because he fought hard to win during a game earlier last week and he plays hard, game in and game out. Macaully plays for the middle school boys volleyball team.

High School Male Athlete of the Week

The High School Male Athlete of the Week is Jonah Peterson. Jonah was chosen because of his hard work and dedication to his team. Jonah plays for the Varsity Boys volleyball team.

Middle School Female Athlete of the Week

The Middle School Female Athlete of the Week is Cassidy Hallihan. Cassidy was chosen because she is a great server and scores a lot of points for her team. Cassidy plays for the middle school JV volleyball team.
