High School Student of the Week


Grade 10 student Grace Jardine is the High School Student of the Week. She was nominated by Ms. T. Underhill.

Ms. T. Underhill nominated Grace on her efforts so far in Science 10. Ms. T. Underhill said "Grace is putting forth a great effort in Science 10. She works hard daily and is always doing a little extra to make sure she understands. Great job Grace!"

Grade 12 student Randi-Jo Sturgeon is the High School Student of the Week. She was nominated by Mr. Carter. 

Mr. Carter nominated Randi-Jo on her efforts so far this year with the yearbook. Mr. Carter said "Randi Jo has a great work ethic and has really embraced her role as the yearbook co-editor. She works well with other students and is very self motivated."

High School Student of the Week


Grade 12 student Lincoln Curtis is the High School Student of the Week. He was nominated by Mr. Carter, and Mrs. J. Underhill. 

Mr. Carter nominated Lincoln on his efforts so far this year. Mr. Carter said "Lincoln has been working diligently this year, and he has been using his time very effectively. Keep up the good work, Lincoln."

Mrs. J. Underhill said "Lincoln is working so hard in World Issues. He makes sure his work is completed and passed in on time and he has not missed a class! We are very proud of you, Lincoln. Keep it up :)"

High School Student of the Week


Grade 12 student Montana Stewart is the High School Student of the Week. She was nominated by Mr. Hallihan, and Mrs. A. Moody.

Mr. Hallihan nominated Montana on her efforts with the Terry Fox walk. Mr. Hallihan said "Montana has taken on a number of tasks to help our school... lead role in our Terry Fox Bake Sale, healthy snacks for staff canteen and helped with collecting pledges for Terry Fox walk."

Mrs. A. Moody said "Montana consistency shows up ready to learn and contribute. With excellent attendance, Montana is always willing to lend a helping hand to classmates and myself. She embraces challenges by trying new things and approaching them with a positive attitude."

The other students nominated are Elle Jardine, Gracelyn Brennan, Andi McAllister, and Avery Donahue. Congratulations to Montana and the other nominees.

Blackville School 2025 Graduating Class

Twenty five grade 12 students celebrated their graduations with family, friends, staff and community members at Blackville School on Thursday evening, June 19.

The valedictorian was Lily McEvoy and the salutatorian was Abbie McAllister. Reverend John Stewart gave the invocation and the benediction.

Blackville School Acting Principal Angela Moody addressed the staff, graduates and their guests.

Later that evening, after the graduation ceremony, the graduates participated in the overnight Safe Grad event in Fredericton at the Kingswood Entertainment Centre.

Elementary and Middle School Awards Day

Two awards ceremonies for elementary and middle school students were held on Friday, June 20 at Blackville School. 

On the last day of school, the students and staff gathered in the gym with family and friends for the two events.

Relay for Life 2025

Staff, students and community members gathered for the second Annual Relay for Life at Blackville School on Thursday, May 29.

Gathering outside for the opening ceremonies, Grade 11 student Danica Mullin welcomed everyone. Grade 8 student Kalainy Jardine, a cancer survivor, shared her experiences and why the event is so important.

The students then followed in behind the community members who are survivors of cancer and who came out to participate in the event. After the outside walk, everyone then went into the gym for the luminary walk.

There was also a BBQ and various outdoor games. The fundraising goal is $5000.00. The school is still taking donations online. You can donate online by clicking here. All proceeds are for the Canadian Cancer Society.

Blackville School Middle and High School Recognition Ceremony 2025

The Recognition and Awards Ceremony for middle and high school students at Blackville School was held on Tuesday, May 27.

Kolton Collins (grade 11) and Chloe Furlong (grade 10) were awarded the High School Male and Female Athletes of the Year.

Middle School Male and Female Athletes of the Year are Pierce Brophy (grade 8) and Miley McCormack. 

Ayden Munn (grade 11) and Lily McEvoy (grade 12) were awarded the Outstanding Female and Male Academic and Extra Curricular Activities.

Lily McEvoy was awarded the Fenton Sturgeon Memorial Award. This award is presented to a grade 12 student who has participated in sports through all four years of high school, with special consideration given to those who have volunteered their time to coach young athletes outside of school.

Danica Mullin (grade 11) and Kolton Collins were awarded the School Spirit Award. This award goes to an individual who is dedicated to school activities and events throughout the current school year.

The Family of the Year Award went to the Hallihan family of Ashley and Kelly and their children Malia (grade 10), Lainey (grade 9), and Janna (grade 7).

The MCs for the event were Myles Curtis and Miranda Nordin.
