Relay for Life 2025

Staff, students and community members gathered for the second Annual Relay for Life at Blackville School on Thursday, May 29.

Gathering outside for the opening ceremonies, Grade 11 student Danica Mullin welcomed everyone. Grade 8 student Kalainy Jardine, a cancer survivor, shared her experiences and why the event is so important.

The students then followed in behind the community members who are survivors of cancer and who came out to participate in the event. After the outside walk, everyone then went into the gym for the luminary walk.

There was also a BBQ and various outdoor games. The fundraising goal is $5000.00. The school is still taking donations online. You can donate online by clicking here. All proceeds are for the Canadian Cancer Society.
