Two awards ceremonies for elementary and middle school students were held on Friday, June 19 at Blackville School.
On the last day of school, the students and staff gathered in the gym with family and friends for the two events.

Blackville School Middle and High School Recognition Ceremony 2026

Allison Manderville (grade 11) and Chloe Furlong (grade 11) were awarded the High School Male and Female Athletes of the Year.
Middle School Male and Female Athletes of the Year are Hunter Linkletter (grade 8) and Kendra O'Keefe (grade 8).
Keenan Underhill (grade 11) and Sophie Munn (grade 12) were awarded the Outstanding Male and Female Academic and Extra Curricular Activities.
Kolton Colins was awarded the Fenton Sturgeon Memorial Award. This award is presented to a grade 12 student who has participated in sports through all four years of high school, with special consideration given to those who have volunteered their time to coach young athletes outside of school.The Kathy McCormack Award, which recognizes sportsmanship dedication and being an excellent
school ambassador went to Danica Mullin.
The MCs for the event were Danica Mullin and Kolton Collins.

High School Student of the Week
Grade 10 student Lainey Hallihan is the High School Student of the Week. She was nominated by Mr. Carter.
Mr. Carter said, "Lainey is a very focused and responsible student. She works well independently and with other students."
