A Trip to the Zoo
Some high school students had the opportunity to visit the Magnetic Hill Zoo in Moncton on Wednesday, June 12. Money generated from school supplies that were sold at the school store were used to pay for the trip. The store is operated by the students.

| The Most Outstanding Academics and Extra-curricular Awards went to Grade 12 student Zachary Stockless and Grade 9 student Ashlyn Moody. |
Highest standing for both Middle School Language Arts and Math went to Sarah Manderville. Sarah Jardine won the Ron Pauly Memorial Award which recognizes a student who displays a positive attitude and a hard work ethic. Middle School Student of the Year went to Jensen Urquhart. The Most Improved Middle School Student Award went to Nicole Nash.
Middle School Male Athlete of the Year is Tyler Gorbett and Middle School Female Athlete of the Year is Sarah Manderville.
The Kathy McCormack Award, recognizing athletes who are great school ambassadors, went to Jordan Underhill. Daniel Underhill received Male Athlete of the Year while Female Athlete of the Year is Nicole Sullivan.
Jackson Hallihan received the Fenton Sturgeon Memorial Award which goes to a grade 12 student who has been involved in sports for all four years of high school. Special consideration is given to students who have volunteered their time coaching younger athletes outside school hours.
Most Outstanding Academic and Extra-curricular Awards went to Ashlyn Moody and Zachary Stockless.

Disability Awareness and Spelling Bee
Elementary students at Blackville School had a busy morning on Wednesday, May 29. They participated in activities for Disability Awareness Week and also held a spelling bee. Theatre Arts 120 Performance Received Recognitions at Drama Festival
The Theatre Arts 120 Class received ten recognitions at the annual High School Drama Festival. The cast of fifteen travelled to Fredericton last Thursday and Friday to perform.
The play Check Please 2/3 by Jonathan Rand received two Special Adjudicator's mentions for "Outstanding Ensemble Environment" and Outstanding Attention to Detail." There was also a recognition for "Outstanding Production."
Seven recognitions for "Outstanding Supporting Actor" went to Shawn Hallihan, Nicole Sullivan, Nolan Donovan, Valeja Birnbach, Marissa Donohue, Josie Coulter, and Jackson Hallihan.
