Schofield was drafted to the Timberwolves on June 13, 2020, along with Daniel Moody. He began playing AAA in Peewee for the Miramichi Riverman.

This was the last team Schofield had played in his home city, since the AAA teams for both Bantam and Midget were moved from Miramichi.

During his second Bantam season he played for the AAA Bantam Blackhawks and was affiliated with the Midget AAA Northern Moose. For the Blackhawks, Schofield put up 34 points in 27 regular season games and 6 playoff points in 5 games.
He played two regular season games with the Moose and four playoff games - Schofield had 2 assists. Schofield's season during last year with the Moose saw him put up 39 points in the regular season and 8 playoff points.

Schofield is excited about playing in Miramichi this year.

“I’m very honoured I’m getting the opportunity to play junior hockey in my hometown and in front of friends and family,” he said.

“Every night I get to do this so it is a special feeling and I'm very excited to get things going,” he added.

After junior hockey he plans on attending university and he hopes to play hockey and see where he goes from there.

Will and the Wolves will be playing the home opener in the den this Friday, October 30.
