Students and Staff Celebrate Halloween Week

Blackville School celebrated Halloween this week. Each day the school had a different theme that applied to grades K to 12.

Monday was Ghost Day so all students wore white. Homeroom classes in middle and high school also competed in a door decorating and pumpkin carving challenge. The high school winner was Mrs. Stewart's grade 9 class while the middle school winner was Mr. Johnson's grade 6 class.

Tuesday was Witches day and everyone had to wear purple and black with a mummy game at the high school lunch. Winners of this competition were Grade 10 students Hailey Singer and Eden Lynch, and Grade 11 student Kensen Brennan.

Next up was Pumpkin Day. Students were encouraged to wear orange and there was an intense game of bowling during high school lunch. Lastly, Thursday was Costume Day. Students sported their most  costumes as there was a competition for best costume. Winners of this competition are yet to be announced.

Most students participated and showed great involvement in all activities and dress up days. Halloween takes place on Saturday with trick or treating curfew of 8 pm. Have a safe and happy Halloween, Eagles!
