Before the International Hour of Code arrived this week, students in Mrs. Manderville's 3/4 class were already taking part in the event.

The students visited Kelly's Special Care Home last Friday, December 6 to showcase their coding skills with Scratch, Hour of Code, Micro:bits with MakeCode, Sphero and MBot Robotics.

This week, December 9-13 (Computer Science Education week), around two thirds of all students and teachers at Blackville School will be participating in the Hour of Code 2019.

The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching hundreds of millions of students in 180+ countries offered in 45+ languages each year.

Anytime this week for one hour, students and teachers will commit to one hour of code to learn some of the basics of computer science and what keeps the internet going.
