Premier of New Brunswick Pays Visit to Blackville School

Devon Edwards and Spencer Mullin meet NB
Premier Brian Gallant.
Students and staff received some great news last Friday.

Premier, Brian Gallant, payed Blackville School a visit, along with the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, Bill Fraser, to deliver news to the students and staff.

Blackville School has been doing fundraisers over the past two years to raise money to pay for a new fence for the elementary soccer field.

On Friday, December 8, BHS was granted $15, 000.00 through government funding.  This gives Blackville School enough money to pay for the fencing.

Bill Fraser tweeted, "Proud of @Bvilletalon @BlackvilleEagle for raising over half of (the) funds towards upgrades/improvements.  As minister, or Regional Development Cooperation,  I was pleased to announce a contribution of $15, 000 towards this $34,000 project."

Principal Rodney Buggie said, "The school is very grateful for the support from our government.  Elementary soccer will finally be allowed to play on their home field again."
